The nominees for Oscars were revealed today. So, we're gonna talk about with the Divo Nicolas Sourivongxay. So, ladies & gentlemen, let's welcome to the only one, the great Divo of all times, Nicolas Sourivongxay.

Nina:- You look so good, Nick!

Nicolas:- Thanks for having me here, Nina. It's been a long time, right?

Nina:- Yeah. I don't remember exactly the last time we saw together. Anyways. Let's start making a review of the international prizes. 

Nicolas: - Let's do it but just the main categories. I don't have much time, I got a lot to do later.

Nicolas:- Let's see Best Movie.

Nina: - For the Oscars, the nominees for Best Picture are 

“All Quiet on the Western Front” (Netflix) “Avatar: The Way of Water” (20th Century Studios) “The Banshees of Inisherin” (Searchlight Pictures) “Elvis” (Warner Bros.) “Everything Everywhere All at Once” (A24) “The Fabelmans” (Universal Pictures) “Tár” (Focus Features) “Top Gun: Maverick” (Paramount Pictures) “Triangle of Sadness” (Neon) ' “Women Talking” (MGM/United Artists Releasing)

Nicolas: - Where were those movies in 2022? I didn't reach to watch all those movies during 2022 and I really watched more than 70% of the movies in the industry. I remember I watched "Elvis", "Everything Everywhere All at Once", and "Top Gun: Maverick". I didn't watch the rest of the movies yet, maybe they appeared in december with less activity for the Andromeda Global Prize.  So, I can't judge for the Oscars.

Nina:- Is there any movie that you think it should be in the list?

Nicolas:- I don't know. I didn't see 'Dr. Strange" in any category for the Oscars. I liked the visual effects.

Nina: - All right, let's continue with 'Best Original Song" .

“Hold My Hand” from “Top Gun: Maverick”

“Lift Me Up” from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”

“Naatu Naatu” from “RRR”

“This Is a Life” from “Everything Everywhere All at Once”

Nicolas: - That was a surprise that Taylor Swift was not nominated for the Oscars but for Golden Globes for 'Where the Crawdads sing". Lady Gaga was a surprise for me, I'm sorry for saying this, girl. I know Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta was upset with me because she didn't win an Andromeda Global Prize in that category, however, Congratulations for the nomination for the Oscars. And to be really honest, and as an expert in the music industry, there were missing songs better than those songs nominated for the Oscars and for the Golden Globes. I think the judges were, probably, drunk. I think the Andromeda Global Prize was well given to Yolanda Adams for Tyson's run and for the movie starred by Charlize Theron called 'The School for Good & Evil" with the song "Who do you think you are" by Kiana Ledé and Cautious Clay. 

Nina:- Three more categories. Best Lead Actrees

Cate Blanchett (“Tár”) Ana de Armas (“Blonde”) Andrea Riseborough (“To Leslie”) Michelle Williams (“The Fabelmans”) Michelle Yeoh (“Everything Everywhere All at Once”) 

Nicolas:- I only watched the movie of Michelle Yeoh and Ana de Armas. Actually, Ana de Armas won the Andromeda Global Prize 2022 as best Actreess and Michelle Yeoh was a great candidate as well. So sad, Keke Palmer was not nominated, she did a great performance in two movies in 2022. 

Nina:- Best lead Actor.

Austin Butler (“Elvis”) Colin Farrell (“The Banshees of Inisherin”) Brendan Fraser (“The Whale”) Paul Mescal (“Aftersun”) Bill Nighy (“Living”)  

Nicolas:- I only watched 'Elvis' , I didn't watch the rest of the movies. I know there is so much propaganda for Brendan Fraser, maybe I would watch "The Whale". So sad, Zack Efron was not nominated for the movie "Gold", that's so unfair.

Nina: - And the last category to talk about 'Best International Feature Film'

“All Quiet on the Western Front” (Germany) “Argentina, 1985” (Argentina) “Close” (Belgium) “EO” (Poland) “The Quiet Girl” (Ireland) 

Nicolas:- I can't judge because the only one movie I watched was the argentinian's one. And the movie was not 100% argentinian, it had the help of the United States of America. And there were better movies than those nominated in the category that the Oscars didn't consider. Some movies from asia continent, with their productions were awesome, that's why 'Hansan: Rising Dragon' from South Korea won the Andromeda Global Prize 2022 as Best Picture and they were compiting against other asian movies internationally more than competing against 'Everyhing everywhere all at once' and 'Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness'. And what about 'Black Crab' from Sweden?
